Saturdays in October 9th & 16th @ 9:30 PM – JUST 2 SHOWS LEFT!
The People’s Improv Theater (154 W. 29th Street)
Tickets: $12.00
Nine years ago, when the “Disgusting, horrifying, amusing.” (TimeOut NY) comedy troupe known as spurn was founded, its members were spritely young things in their early to mid 20’s, and were all quite content to mount up to three productions a year. Those days are long gone, and now spurn, older, fatter, often married and occasionally with children, just doesn’t have the energy. In fact, there’s only two more chances left this year to catch the show “that’s as funny and fresh as your parents say Saturday Night Live used to be” (Crackle.com)!
Last weekend’s performance at The Peoples Improv Theater was a full, and very enthusiastic, house. Don’t miss out on a hilariously unsettling look at growing older, having children, killing your dreams and settling. Performances take place the next two Saturdays only at 9:30 pm at The PIT, 154 W. 29th Street (between 6th & 7th Aves; take the 1 train to 28th St). spurn’s cast, a "wickedly funny theatre ensemble” (Blog Chelsea), are joined by award-winning returning director Neil Turitz. Running time is one hour. Tickets are only $12 for general admission, and, because the cast & crew are indeed older, fatter and wildly depressed about it, beer and wine are served in the lobby. For further information, please visit www.spurn-nyc.com or the PIT schedule page. For advance ticket sales, visit brown paper tickets (fees apply).

Please note, we highly recommend you arrive at the theater at least 15 minutes before the scheduled performance time to ensure seating. Of course, if you purchased tickets in advance ( http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/128908 ), you're guaranteed a seat. But not necessarily a good one, so show up early!

Saturday, October 16th @ 9:30 PM – LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR!
The People’s Improv Theater (154 W. 29th Street)
Tickets: $12.00
This is it, your last chance to get spurned in 2010! Our current production, in which the veteran comedy troupe takes a hilariously unsettling look at growing older, having children, killing your dreams and settling, closes this Saturday, October 16th!
The entire current run at The Peoples Improv Theater has thus far been packed to capacity with loud, happy and enthusiastic crowds. Don’t miss out on what NYTE calls “consistently funny… hard-edged, envelope-pushing, vaguely absurdist” comedy. The final performance takes place this Saturday at 9:30 pm at The PIT, 154 W. 29th Street (between 6th & 7th Aves; take the 1 train to 28th St). spurn’s cast of “skilled actors rather than the single-dimension schtick of sketchy sketch comedians” (Time Out NY), are joined by award-winning returning director Neil Turitz. Running time is one hour, and tickets are only $12 for general admission. For further information, please visit spurn-nyc.com or the PIT schedule page at http://www.thepit-nyc.com/monthly.html.
For advance ticket sales, visit brown paper tickets here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/128908 (fees apply). Due to the selling out of our last two performances, we highly recommend you purchase tickets in advance! Don't be one of the poor souls that have gotten turned away at show time.

The theater maintains a strict “no late seating” policy, so please make sure you arrive at the theater at least 15 minutes before the scheduled performance time.
